White Nights Workshop "Exotic Structures and Homogenization"
Saint Petersburg, July 4-6, 2012

Focus

This workshop brings together mathematicians and engineers working on structures and structured materials, metamaterials, and damage.
It focuses on complicated, time-dependent, adaptable or optimal structures that provide the desired overall behavior of the whole assembly in a way that may be unachievable by any of constituents standing alone.
The workshop is held as a satellite meeting to a larger annual conference "Advanced Problems in Mechanics" (APM'2012) of Institute of Mechanics, Russian Academy of Sciences.
